How To Reduce Size Of An Image Using Paint?

  
     In this article, you are going to learn how to reduce the size of an image even less than 20 kb or 30 kb in just a few steps using Paint.


    Paint is the most popular image editing tool available in Microsoft Windows. There are various other Softwares which you can use to reduce the size of Images but Paint is the most useful/powerful and easy to use. Paint resizing can be done by changing the pixels of the image both horizontally and vertically. Here you will get a stepwise procedure how to reduce the size of an image using Paint.

STEPWISE PROCEDURE:

    01. Open an Image in the Paint.

        

    02. The next step is to go to Home Tab >> Image Group >> Then Go to Resize option.



    03. In the next Step you will find an option of changing size by Pixels or Percentage. You can choose any one of them.

  04. If you choose Percentage you will be able to change size from >0 to <=100.

  05. If you choose Pixels then the Pixel size of the original image will be there. You can change the pixel size as per your wish but make sure to " Maintain Aspect Ratio " box is " Unchecked ".



    06. Once the pixels are reduced Go To the File Menu >> Save As  >>  Here you can Save a new Image by selecting the proper format shown in the options. You can also save the image with the same name and you will get a replace option and the size will be reduced.
    07. You can select any format according to your need. But mostly we use JPG/JPEG/PNG formats.


    08. Once you select the format now save the Image and check the properties of both the images.
